    Hi,

I am going to be going to school in florida soon and in the residence they have high speed wireless. The school told us we would need to buy wireless adapters for our computers. I was wondering if an 802.11g adapter would (provided the wireless signal is fast enough) be fast enough to play online games (Call of Duty4 or Age of Conan). Or should I look for one of the 802.11n adapters? Can anyone recommend a good usb wireless adapter that would ideally be able to play games on (and works with vista? :( )

    Thanks!

An 802.11g network provides a theoretical network speed of 54Mbps. The fastest internet service in the UK provides 24Mbps. Even with a poor reception you'd be getting a connection that is fast enough for the average broadband connection.
