value of a 5 month old game pc

My PC has the following specs:

- Asus P5N32-E SLI
- Intel Q6600 @ 2.4 GHz
- Scythe Infinity Cooling
- Kingston HyperX DDR2-800 4 GB
- XFX Geforce 8800 GTX 786 MB
- Samsung Spinpoint T66 SATA2 500 GB (2x)
- Corsair 620HX PSU (see My Computer specs)
- Creative Soundblaster X-Fi XtremeGamer
- Thermaltake Soprano Case (not the transparent ersion)
- Windows Vista Home Premium x64 OEM English

It is 5 months old. How much could I ask for this system?

I reckon that's worth around £700 to £800 becuase my friend sold a similar rig like that for £700 but your is on the new side so i reckon it's worth even more, i guess you should aim high and see who is interested if no one is then drop it down. In your country it might be worth less or more it depends, but lets base it on my valuation and it comes round to 880 euros to 1000 euros.

You're right. I sold it for 1000 euros. But it's strange that the value of a PC can drop to 50% after a few months :confused:

I valued it around 40% from the original value but i understand you must be really anoyed that you lost that much but that's the way things go espicially with computers you buy them and then next week they are out of date :doh:

Btw why did you ask for a valuation if you already sold it???

i guess you were trying to see if you sold it for a good price but thats kind of late finding it out after you sold it lol ;)

Almost everyone was offering about 800 euros, while only one just offered 1000 euros. And therefore I sold it, because it was the highest possible bid. And I woulnd't wanna wait for too long, otherwise the price would have dropped even more :D
