Hi I know this is a crapy card fx 5200 but it was free,I had intigrated onboard graphics 64mb this is 128mb.using it stock right out of the box no problems can run games better.I only play a few games like mtx mototrax deer hunter 5 and a few others.on dh5 it runs on the higher settings and would not before.mtx also runs better but with a little lag not much, before I couldnt even play it because of lag.my first Q is how can I tell how hot the card is getting with out touching it?second will overclocking this card get rid of the lag?I have bumped it up from 250 to 255 333 to 337 with no change just a slight lag every now and then,I want to go higher but dont want it to get to hot.im running pc wizard 06 but it dos not show the temp on the card,I also ran the benchmark on pc wiz after bumping up the card and the fps only went up like one number, can I keep bumping it up little by little.my main concern is the heat.the readings pcwiz give are.cpu temp 18prosser temp 39-mainboard temp 42-power aux temp 46 hard disk temp 36.I have never over clocked anything before and dont know much about it so any help would be nice. Thanks

I don't know if an fx5200 has a temperature sensor, if it does you should be able to find a temperature monitoring option in the Nvidia control panel.

Here's a link which directs you to another topic in this forum about overclocking Nvidia graphics cards.

And it also contains the following advice; when you are planning to push your card further, buy a new cooler for it. Zalman's VF 700-cu is a good one, I have it too.

    Greetings,
