A Nvidia GeForce MX 4000 pci-e BFG TECH I put a jumper on the fan power supply and I think it burned one of the teeth and since then my computer won't recognize it and I can't use it as my display device. If there is a way to fix this without sending it in for a replacement I would really like to know. The touth on the bottom far right is a sark silver color
sorry, i scan read again, lets start again, a bit more info would be helpful what are your specs ? and O/S ?
*sighs* it's not the computer it's the videocard nothing is wrong with the computer it's recognized the thing before I just want to know if their is a way to fix the "Teeth" on the video card
yea I don't use the same terms as other people lol I'm from kentucky in a small town we basically have our own langauge
don't worry over it i have also invented my own langguage, you may be able to bod-j it by glueing tin foil or something on it, lol, but beyond that, you have a very pretty paperweight there
upon checking the ohms of the chip I found out the thing is still conduction across the burn Maybe it's really a problem with the computer Compaq presario S4020wm basically everything is factory the video card is the only real enhnacement I don't know why it isn't working help would be greatly appreciated and I can describe what happened in detail if needed
i don't know but maybe the problem is with the socket not your card, can you get hold of some spray air to blow dust off everything
sounds like you've been deyalying the inevitable, unfortunatly unless you can bod-j it you'll have to get a new grfx card
