Hi, i installed Windows Vista Build 6000, and i choose to install on a unallocated space, and its deleted 2 of my partitions which contained all my programs, will all the data still be recoverable??? Its all gone into Unallocated space and i need all 116gb of it back Is there anyway to recover it so that i dont have to move it onto another hdd, so it really just brings it back to normal on the same drive, think of it as been a city on quicksand, suddenly the whole city gets sucked in, and its just all flat bare land now, appares as everything aint there, but really it is, then the city gets pushed back up and appaears again, so i just want to get the data to appear again.
That sucks, most likely the data is recoverable if the space hasn't been written over or touched. The partitions would have just been erased from the partition table and need restoring. However, this is easier said than done. You might want to search for tools that will restore a damaged partition table, particularly NTFS partitions providing you haven't been swapping around partitions too much recently, which could confuse a tool trying to make amends.
I formated the empty space now, havent put anything in it yet, still recoverable? i am scanning using Recover My Files, and it seems like it is recovering all the files, but its all muddle, i dunno of any other software that does a better job.
