FINALLY! After 3 weeks i've got my AMD64 3200+ Winchester working YAY! Currently installing Win2k :good:
It's running bloody like the dogs boll*x!!! Very Nice and speedy Here's what my 3RD Eye is telling me: CPU / Fans 2040MHZ on Default Settings HSF @ 1980RPM NB @ 720-920rpm (in between the two atm) Temperatures CPU @ Full Load = 31.0C CPU @ Low Load = 25.0C - 27.0C System @ 24.0C PSU @ 34C Full Load Room Temp @ 23.0C Voltages/Clocks CPU @ 0204MHZ (FSB) DDR @ 2.69V AGP @ 66MHZ AGP @ 1.69V CPU @ 1.10V -1.42V And it tells me system time I REALLY am SO pleased with the system, didn't really notice the difference installing OS e.t.c, but i just had a game on a 64 Player BattleField Vietnam Server, and i can run incredibly smoothly, no lag, not even in the biggest fire fights i've ever seen, and thats on a TI4280 64mb!! And the load times are lightning, it really is great for CPU intensive games. Really pleased, it's alot quieter than my old machine, by a large amount! and it's got really really good cooling even with a stock HSF! My Voltages look fine to me, unless anyone else can say *eek* or something.. The CPU Voltage goes down, but thats because i have cool and quiet enabled, and my cpu only runs at what is needed of it.. WAHOOOOO! Fast PC! w00t!
windows 2k=NT4.0 winxp=NT4.1 WinXP just has good looking themes and more security holes AND lesser stability
so...XP...would be a downgrade? Good to know...so...if I want to upgrade...what system should I get?...and ...if 2k's a better or more stable OS...why does everyone here seem to have XP? :good:
