    Internal Hard Drive - OEM50262185

recently got this drive, installed in a shuttle

it's making a soft what sounds like access sound but the hard drive light doesn't flash, i formatted the drive and with no os and it still was doing it, i installed windows, ran a few hard drive tests using HDDScan3.2-release, verify, butterfly, tests ran to completion, no errors, system seems stable

is this a normal sound for these drives? wd has no user forums

    thanks

Thank you for contacting Western Digital Customer Service and Support. My name is Pablo R.

I apologize for the inconvenience, if the WD DLG did not found any error, then this drive is not faulty, or have any pending failure.

Bear in mind that the technology on this drives, dictate that there will be sounds coming from the drive.

yea ok, but it's still annoying
