weird problem

I am facing the weirdest problem in win2k+sp4. i did a fresh install on a different partition then installed all the needed drivers etc. I was trying to install Ulead video 9, it asked me to restart but wheneveri came back into windows i didnt see the mouse pointer, no mousse. i tried with diffrent mouse but no luck. so i took off ulead video studio and restarted and pointer came back. Again i installed antivirus the pointer disappeard.

weird aye!. what to do?.

 

what AV u using ?
avast is great (in my sig), also scan with Ad-aware (personal edition is free)

 

Are you using any custom mouse pointer? or theming program which set's your cursor image?

 

i have nod32 & sygate firewall. installed & no i dont hav any custom cursors.

 

try downloading a newer version of sygate (i think this is the latest)
now uninstall sygate, reboot and install the new one

is all ok ?

if not then do the same with Nod32 AV

is all ok ?
