    1. I can't get my printer to work. Answer to this is a new printer.
    2. I can't get my tv tuner to work.
    3. I can't get into MSN groups chat rooms, which is actually important to me (I know, I know).
    4. I have yet to find a way to sync my Dell DJ. I haven't looked into this too much yet though.

I'm pretty sure those are the only three things stopping me. Are 2, 3, and 4 insurmontable?

    I don't know about 1,2 and 4 but 3 is possible.
I'm assuming the MSN chat rooms look for IE to operate. If that's the case, use Konquerer and set the browser identification to IE6 and it should work.

Unfortunately, I tried that. MSN chat rooms use special software you need to download to work. I tried downloading it and running it through wine, but I can't get that to work either because the software needs to run in the browser.

Is the chat room software java? You may be able to find the java runtime environment for linux. Not too sure on it though.

To setup printing you need to configure CUPS (Common unix Printing System i think). There may be a GUI way, or you may have to go to the web browser and type in the address of the cups port to configure it.

You might be able to find alternatives in Mandriva.
It is amazing the amount of hardware and software it supports and provides.

Unless you have already tried and did not find it sufficiant....

Anyway, unless you have a principal problem dual-booting in general or using Windows in particular, stick with what makes you happy and comfortable.
That is the main idea with personal computing.... init?

Typical of MS. Would be easier if it was in a portable and open standard like Java or even IRC.
