I have an old lcd screen from a laptop that i want to use as an all purpose lcd screen with as many inputs as possible. I found an ebay auction for an lcd controller that says it is compatible with my model. However, it says that it needs 1 of 2 connectors from the screen: TTL and LVDS. I am not sure what kind my screen has, so here are some pictures of it:
Heres the end that went into the motherboard:

My other question is do I need an lcd backlight inverter? I figured it was just a cold cathode, but unfortunatly the connector doesn't fit in a standard computer cold cathode power supply. The reason I question whether or not I need an inverter is because it looks like it already has one, but it again has a strange connector.

what i think is the backlight power supply:

Connector that comes out of screen into power supply:

The lcd controller is not cheap ($80) so I want to make sure I am getting the right thing. I know that earthLCD has some stuff to, but at least $80 is cheaper than $200. Any help on this would be great!
