depends, for movies, you need a powerfull system, going the way of seperates would be better, but for movies and games, something like the Logitech Z5500 would be good if you want all in one or just pc speakers.

    Whats your budget?

The speakers in that link dont seem very good, the z5500's are <£220, and you can get the Z5400's for £130> and if your lucky the z680's for around 130> too which are basically as good as the z5500, just some minor differences such as, 8" sub instead of 10" and the looked are not as good as the z5500 too.

There's somethings you should check out before purchasing. One is your display. The second would be the speakers. I've always been impressed with the ones from Creative, and really don't care for the Logitech ones. I just think they have too much emphasis on the low-end to where it overpowers the mid- and high-range outputs. However, there are others that love Logitech speakers. It's very subjective to your tastes and listening habits.

The only way to know whether speakers are good is to go and listen to them, people can ramble on about tech specs but they may prove worthless if the speakers are lacking in certain areas.

I myself have a set of 2.1 JBL Creature II speakers which I find stunning, they do lack ever so slightly in the mid range but that can be almost completely compensated for with equalisers and fine-tuning.

Your best bet is to head to an AV shop and see what you can find, ask to try out the speakers and then look for the best deal on the net for the ones you like.

As matt said, you best off going and listning to the speakers first.

The creative speakers, you would think are better (Gigaworks)(MegaWorks) G5xx and S750) is because they have tweeters, but the G500 spakers from creative tend to suffer from lots of port noise as its an 8" subwoofer with a tiny little port on it, and the s750 seem to have big issues with the amp.

The high end logitech speakers dont have tweeters, but the drivers are suprisngly good, there made by tangband, and the high end logitechs really are awsome.

If you want, amazing sound quality, go demo some stuff for seperates (amp, bookshelf speakers for starters), if you want really good sound quality for pc, Creative, if you want good sound quality and lots of bass for movies and music etc.., then logitech z5500, z5400, z5450, z5300, z680, z560.
