I'm building my first computer. My CPU is going to be an AMD Athlon 64 3700. I'd like a board that supports SLI as I'm into gaming. I've heard ASUS makes a good board and so does Gigabyte. Any recommendations? I also need to purchase a case and am completely overwhelmed by my options. Any recommendations here?
The best asus mobo is the ASUS A8N-SLI Premium (i currently have it, and its running flawlessly), an awesome case would be the Coolermaster Stacker 830, but i dont think its out yet. you can always resort to buying my case, superior cooling, light, and sexy.
For a case choice, it's purely up to personal preference. But some good cases from my point of view are the Antec P180, Thermaltake Kandalf and the Coolermaster Wavemaster. All three should be reasonably cheap and offer superior cooling in most cases not to mention sexy in design. As for the motherboard, the A8N-SLI in any revision is a solid, well rounded and mature board and will suit you well. You may also might like to look at the ABIT KN8-SLI, DFI Lan Party NF4 SLI-DR or the MSI K8N SLi DIAMOND. All are solid boards and will serve you well.
