Hi I was wondering if someone can help me identify what mother socket my CPU is. it is in a dell e210882 motherboard. the specs i find online say its 775 but they also say its DDR2. I have only DDR installed but the slotys may be DDR2, i just don't know. Any help would be great. Thanks Daniel
its a LGA775 socket T that is for the CPU so if your gonna buy a new cpu for this board you get a 775 socket cpu are you considering a new processor? as for DDR2 and DDR they refer to the memory standard. from what i have read on that board it is a DDR2 board so you would need to have DDR2 ram. If your looking for ram I would recommend DDR2 800mhz (pc-6400) its cheap right now. G.Skill makes some nice stuff thats only about $47.00 for 2 gigs on newegg.com I have a set in my rig right now and its overclocked to 1000mhz but overclocking things depends on many factors that i wont go into just now I suggest downloading this program CPU-Zit will tell you a great deal about the motherboard and CPU and ram you have
hmm maybe the motherboard I found on google is the wrong thing can you take a screen show of cpu-z open on the cpu, mainboard, and memory tabs? and post them, it would help clear things up. I think you mean socket 478 ad if that is what the socket says on cpu-z you have DDR ram most likely, I have never seen a 478 board with ddr2 .
