    Hello.
I have an old Compaq Presario 500. It's a pretty pathetic machine. I'm trying to make it not so bad though. I have 2 CD drives and am about to add another Hard Drive. But the thing thats holding me back is the RAM. 128 MB. So I'm thinking, Ok, I'll find out what RAM it is and run down to Future Shop and get better stuff, case closed. It didn't work that way. :( It was old PC100 ram thats very hard to find and even more expensive. Can I just buy any old memory, or does it HAVE to be PC100?
    Thanks in advance.

I think PC 133 will work...but it will only run at the speed of your PC 100...unless you replace both with PC 133.
