    Hello,

I decided to buy a " NVIDIA GeForce 6800 GS 256 MB(PCX)" card. It is available in different brands like MSI, ASUS , POINT OF VIEW etc.

Please tell me that is it matter if i purchase the cheapest brand or please tell me that from the above brands which will be the best option.

And which things i should confirm before buying this card.

    Please Reply,

    Eshban

I assume you have a PCIe motherboard, as getting a PCIe version of the card requires the appropriate slot.

Brands shouldn't matter all that much. I'd look at such items as warranty and what's included in the box. The likes of Asus, MSI, Gigabyte, and a few others tend to have a lot of stuff packaged in, which adds to the cost. This can be a good thing if you get several full games to showcase your video card or video editing software. On the other hand, if you already have the software, why pay for it again (unless you want a second copy).

Just a quick note: you don't need 2 threads, and I moved this to New Build/Upgrade Advice.

I'd go with EVGA just because they've probably got the overall best rep out there as far as quality and longevity. Good software bundles too.
