I'm looking to upgrade my NVIDIA 6800 to a newer series card. 8800 is out of my price range. I've been looking at two cards:

XFX 8600 GT XXX for 100$
XFX GeForce 8600 GT XXX Video Card - FREE Company of Heroes PC Game, 256MB DDR3, SLI Ready, PCI Express, (Dual Link) Dual DVI, HDTV, Video Card PVT84JUDD3 in Canada at TigerDirect.ca

    or

    EVGA 8600 GTS for 160$
EVGA GeForce 8600 GTS Video Card - FREE Enemy Territory: Quake Wars PC Game, 512MB GDDR3, PCI Express, SLI Ready, Dual DVI, HDTV, Video Card 512-P2-N773-AR in Canada at TigerDirect.ca

Which of the cards has the best bang for the buck? I've heard that the 8600 GT XXX performs close to the 8600 GTS, but in this case for 60$ less. I would sell off the games that both these games come with (eh... sick of FPS), and I can get 50$ - 60$ for my old 6800. Might get it for nearly free :)

I'm not looking to play crysis or anything like that, mainly Guitar Hero III for PC and Battlestations Midway.

In my opinion EVGA makes a better card, but what you could do is get the ATI HD 3850, which is a lot better than both of those for just a few dollars more
