I would go for corded keys and mouse for gaming (no lag), is bluetooth necessary? Its also expensive

Whats the advantage of having bluetooth over normal IR keyboard/mouse?

Ive got a cordless MS set which I am very happy with. It only costs a fraction of what I paid for it now as well.

Wow, if you are serious about gaming, then Logitech G15 keyboard, and G7 Mouse, together - 200$, but worth it...

$200 ! I wouldnt want to guess what that would cost in PC world!!!

Froogle ranges from £13.28 to £75 for the keyboard. And £33 to £107 for the mouse. Pays to shop around !! Suppose its about the same as what I paid for my setup. I remember my mouse was £40.

mainly, bluetooth has greater range, whereas IR is limited to like half a centimeter away from the source.

YEP G7 all the way and G15, simply the best of the best. nearly like a corded mouse and keyboard.

Get a wired backlit keyboard with fast response and good typing may be enough. Gamers like to choose wired keyboard without fear of latency.
If you like to have keyboard with macro keys, then it is suggested that professional game keyboard from Logitech and other manufacturer may be suitable.
