:hi2: hello people sorry if i sound lame but i dont have much knowledge of this sof

im after putting my laptop HDD into my pc, but i need a converter to do it however the only converters i can see is the ones that dont fit my laptop hdd interface.

if i look on the net the only ones i can see is the IDE converter for the laptop harddrive that has pins for the interface, but my laptop hdd has a sort of old style interlock interface, i cant really explane it, but theres 22 pins on both sides of the laptop hdd, they look kind of like teeth if look at your usb, you have pins at the bottom right?, well the one on the laptop is kinda like that but longer and has more pins on both sides.

jees, sorry, i just wanna know what type of connector this is so i can find a converter

    thanks

    resolved thanks pelvis

when i went to take photo i noticed some ordinary 4-head screws on the side of the hdd i noticed it was part of a mountin bracket, i took it apart and noticed that this unusual interface was just an ide - ??? converter so it will fit my laptop interface, the hdd itself has pins that fits for 2.5" ide drives.

thanks for reply anyway appreachate help.
