Recently, when I tried to put a new CMOS battery, the CMOS battery holder broke. Therefore, I need to buy a new Motherboard. Can anyone tell me what I have to look for when buying a motherboard? I am using a Pentium 233Mhz processor. Thanks in advance.

Well it depends on what type of processor your 233 is. If it is an older 233 MMX, then you will need a socket 7 motherboard. If it is a Pentium II 233, then you will need a Slot 1 motherboard. Other than that, you should look for a mobo that has enough memory slots for your needs as well as enough expansion ports (AGP, PCI, ISA). Some motherboards will also come with integrated peripherals such as a sound card, video card, network card etc. Today it is also worthwhile to ensure that your motherboard can support a number of USB ports
