    Hey all,

    just a quick question...

    I have a - P4 3.0ghz HT northwood 512k cache

    and a - P4 3.0ghz Prescott 1mb cache (SL7E4)

Which processor is better? i know one has a bigger cache, but i dont think it has HT

The Prescott cores didn't really take full advantage of the extra cache - plus they run incredibly hot!
Can you run any tests that'll confirm which one runs better?

I'd certainly try it and see if there's any noticable increase in performance.

Prescott was a failure on Intel's behalf, and much less overclockable than Northwood.
