which ram is better (KINGSTON OR CORSAIR)

    Hi,

    i want to buy a new ram for my new pc which is P4 3.2 GHZ.

    i want to buy DDR 533 MHZ RAM, kindly tell me that which RAM is better according to performance and quality wise.

    KINGSTON or CORSAIR

    or which model i can buy.

    Performance, I'd go for OCZ/Geil. For reliability Corsair and Kingston have made quite the names for themselves. Not saying OCZ or Geil have any beefs against them. Just find the ram that best suits your needs and your pockets but make sure it has a lifetime warranty which almost all ram does now.

    do you need ddr or ddr2?

    Both are pretty good, but Corsair's XMS is a little bit cheaper than Kingston's comparable HyperX. Both the XMS and HyperX are high-performance RAM, which would be useful for overclocking.

    Quite honestly, I'd go for whatever is cheaper.

    Make sure you get DDR2 if you've got a motherboard running the i915/925X/945/955X chipsets. If you don't know, check first. DDR2 and DDR are NOT compatible.
