Why so much price difference between same amount of RAM?

    While looking for sticks of 2GB Ram, I am a bit, nay, very confused because of prices...

    This model (Corsair TWIN2X 5400 DDR2) costs €77 in this shop: Komplett.be - Corsair TWIN2X 5400 DDR2, 2048MB PC5400 Kit m/twee identical CM2X1024-5400C4 Dimm

    This model costs twice as much, €155 in the same shop: Komplett.be - Corsair TWIN2X 5400PRO DDR2, 2048MB CL4, Kit w/two matched CM2X1024-5400C4PRO

    In this shop, the cheapest stick of 2GB of RAM I could find still costs over €200: PC Megastore: de beste en goedkoopste online PC winkel van nederland

    And in this shop it costs €75 for 2GB of RAM: KINGSTON 2X 1024MB DDR2 PC5400 Valueram KVR667D2N5K2/2G CL5 :: Kingston :: DDR2 :: Geheugen Diversen :: Bytes@Work Tweakers Hideout

    Yes, I looked at the specs and there is probably some kind of difference between it, but I couldn't tell what.

    And why is it that in a lot of cases a 2GB stick of RAM seems to be cheaper than a 1GB stick??

    The C4Pro Corsair XMS stuff has LED's on them, which adds to the cost. Outside of that, I think it's basically the same thing as what you have with the C4 non-Pro sticks.

    The XMS series is high-performance RAM, ie. designed with overclocking in mind. The Kingston you linked is not. Unless you're looking to overclock, you won't see a difference.

    So a price of €70-€80 is normal for 2GB of RAM?

    Looks about right. I'm sure if you look around hard, you could find something, like SuperTalent cheaper, but that seems fairly accurate.
