After years of using Intel CPU's some months ago i changed to AMD, and now i've finaly converted to ATI! While i'm happy with my Radeon 9250 (ASUS A9250-one of those quick fix jobs) when i change the resolution to 1152x864 (which is my maximum supported screen res), it doesnt fit the desktop properly on my screen, to view the desktop i have to move my cursor to the edges (or scrolling in a sense) to see the rest! Now i am using the original drivers that came with my card at the moment and have also tried the latest Omega drivers and the Latest Catalyst drivers with no change! Ideally i just want to view my WHOLE desktop at 1152x864 without having to scroll! Any ideas on how to overcome this?
Even though the rated max is 1024x768 it works on 1152x864 on my GeForce FX5200 and my old GeForce 2 MX400! Any Ideas?
dont you have buttons on the front of your monitor and an on screen display for adjusting the actual screen size, becouse i havent heard of any monitor with a max supported reseloution of 1152*864, my 15" crt has a maxreported reseloution of 2048*1536, but it only works up to 1600*1200. mine is ok up to 1280*1024.
I have fiddled with the buttons on the monitor but then it puts the desktop in the center of the screen and i still have to scroll, but then the writing is too small!
oh :s, i am lost then :s, looks like you just need a new crt, i got mine for £10 second hand becouse the focus failed on my old monitor.
I am planning on getting a 17" TFT soon but for now i just want my 1152x864 back! As i said in a previous post that resolution worked perfectly on both my FX5200 and my MX400 cards! Is this just an ATI thing perhaps?
use your tv if you have a decent one, those reseloutions are really bad anyway, i can stand less than my max screen res
I will try it on my TV ASAP! I also can't stand less than my max supported res! Currently i'm sittin' on 1024 and on a 15" monitor everything is HUGE! I really want my 1152x864 back
