Hi there, Will NTSC games play on a UK PC? (I assume NTSC is American software!!) I have seen a game but it states NTSC and I know we use PAL in the UK but does that still apply to PC's? I know for example a video recorder has to be NTSC capable to run American videos in the UK. Is it the same with PC games? Any help would be greatly appreciated Many thanks James
I haven't tried it myself but per this page you can (look under the paragraph entitled "How Can I Play Imports On My...?"). I don't have a way of verifying this info though.
i think your thinking about videogames like on the ps2 the format for the us is nstc and for japan and other places is pal i don't think that affects software i mean you can use a program in any part of the planet that type of NTSC and PAL thing is for anti piracy mostly on videogames and DVD's
Yeah thanks guys - appreciate your help. It appears my head is up my rear end as i am thinking of consoles as PC games are in effect region free - this was confirmed in the article Penguin gave the link to. Many thanks and sorry to have troubled you guys Thanks James :O
