Hello all and please respect to all people affected by the recent asia quake.

    Now onto my point.

Do you agree or disagree that the quake will affect memory prices?

Not sure - but surely it shouldn't do because surely not all memory makers bases are in Asia so they should be able to keep everyone in sufficient supply until Asia gets back on its feet whenever that is.

Deepest sympathies to all lost/missing/stuck/dead in Asia

I'm not sure, but I don't think it hit the techie part of Asia for the most part, like Taiwan, China, and Japan. I think Singapore might be the only affected country with any real significant tech base, but I could be wrong.

Corsair and OCZ will still be ok since they're American and Taiwan are the only country that are really techie.

I can't specifically speak for techie items but I wouldn't bet any money on Corsair and OCZ actually being made in America. Indonesia and Maylasia are the new babies for manufacturing American goods ( e.g. Nike, a Northwestern Powerhouse...Oregon, I think...doesn't manufacture a single shoe in the U.S...they're all manufactured in Indonesia in factory towns...employees live on the factory site in dorm-like facilities and earn about 35 cents an hour after deductions...where else can you produce a shoe for under $2 and sell it for $250...now you know where they get all that money to pay NBA players to advertise their product ).
