Windows 64 bit

If i have an AMD 64 cpu, can i install windows 64 bit now or are there any compatibility issues with other apps? antivirus, firewalls....

I think there are still quite allot programs/drivers which will not work under 64bit windows, mainly because there aren't any 64bit drivers or there are compatibility issues.
