    hi
my mate gave me his packard bell computer to fix and as i have never touched them before i Fdisk the hard drive as normal only to find he had no XP disk, i now know i should have pressed F11 as the back up date is on a seprate partition but that partition is gone, the problem i have now is that the windows XP i got on there is has been blocked out after the 4 weeks because of the registration, and there key on the side of the case doesn’t work with the XP disck im trying to use, They now have a brand new Windows XP pro to put on there PC, but i need to get some of there work of the current XP before i install the new one they have brought is there anyway to do this.
    Thanks

If the files haven't been encrypted using the NTFS encryption tool then you should be able to access them but I'm not all too sure on this. Otherwise yuo can try doing a repair install with XP.

I haven't seen the computer since its started doing this but i think its blocking them out of everything, i don’t think it will let them log in it just comes up with enter you XP Key so they cant access there files, is there anyway to get into windows just so that i can get there files of and then do the re install.
