When ever I use windows explorer to double click on a image (jpg) I would hope to call up one of my photo programs to see the picture. Instead what I receive is tghe following: 16 BIT WINDOWS SUB SYSTEM Dialog box C:/windows/system32/autoexec.nt The system file is not suitable for running MS-Dos and MS Windows Applications. Chose: Close to terminate the application. Yet if I call up a photo application (I have photoshop elements) and open the image it calls it up fine. Can anyone tell me what is going on ? What do I have to setup differently to just call up the image from the folder using windows explorer ? Thanks, PJM
try right clicking on the file, selcting open with, <choose application> and click allways open with this program, click ok. might work
Also u can do like this... RightClick on the File > Properties, under General Tab u will find open with, press the change button and select any picture viewer program...
Thank you both, I knew it might be a simple process. I will try this on Wednesday when I see the computer again at my friends. PJM
