    Hi all.

When I open, say, Folder 2 and resize, Folder 2's new size will remain when I reopen Folder 2 directly. However, if I open Folder 1 (which will come up in default size) and navigate to Folder 2, I will still get the small window size. It is possible I manually change the size of every folder I can possibly open (which is quite ridiculous). I want to know where is the key (or keys) in the registry that contain the x and y values for the resized windows (example Folder 2) so that I can universally change the windows size.

    Cheerio,
    Nicholas.

assuming i understand you correctly, i think you need to change the folder options & uncheck "remember view settings" like embedded pic

    it's here: <Control Panel> <Folder Options>

No. That does not make any difference at all. The initially opened window's resized coordinates are stored, but opening another window will result in the default size.

What I want to know is the location where Windows stores the coordinate (or coordinates) of the window sizes when opened.

    Cheerio,
    Nicholas.

ok i understand, you want to specify the location on screen than a window opens by specifying the X & Y axis of the window,

there should be a way to do it by using CLI however if you create a shortcut to the program & edit properties, & select "shortcut" you can choose the run behavior e.g. minimized, maximized or normal window

hope that helps you, failing that for CLI (Command Line Interface) commands

    BTW: took some finding that.

Actually, it's not more of where it opens, but the size of the window when it does.

    Cheerio,
    Nicholas.

Because it's annoying having the windows open so small and much more so when I individually re size and get windows of different length/breadths.

    Cheerio,
    Nicholas.
