When ever i turn on my comp or even double click an icon on my desktop a window pops up that says windows installer and if i let it go nothing happens but if i click cancel, then it says there was a problem with the short cut and nothing will open someone please help

yeah, a screen shot may help, but to be honest, i don't understand what the problem is, if the problem is with window installer, have you tried reistalling it, download link here

well i fixed it, but i system restored to the day that it never did it and it has not done it since so i don't know what the problem was but its done
