    Hi
I just got this system. although the system is quick i do not understand why few things are slow. for eg. when i use nero to burn burn videos to vcd, the time taken to analizing is faartoo much. im using the nero 6.0.3 version.
2nd thing is that the cpu is struggling while doing multitasking
3rd copying files from 1 partition to other is also slow.

    Virus? Spyware?
Too many programs running in the background?
How much RAM do you have free (in taskmanager)?

Do you have your motherboard drivers installed? Is DMA enabled for all IDE devices? Are your IDE jumpers set properly for each device?

That doesn't answer my whole question. Do you have your motherboard drivers installed? Are your IDE jumpers set properly for each device? If those two things are kosher, have you tried booting to another operating system, such as a live Linux distro? That could help us further narrow the possible variables.
