Hello This is really irritating. New custom PC, BIOS and Post all OK. So load XP which is an OEM version of Windows Home. All runs as it should until the Licence Agreement. F8 = agree. But it does not accept the key press and move on. It understands page up / down and Esc = do not agree. This is using a PS2 kbd as the software isnt there yet for the wireless one I have for it. This kbd is on this mch which recognizes the F8 with no problems. So I dont see how it can be a keyboard problem. Any ideas much appreciated thanks Gary
Is this windows NT4, That you had to scroll through the license agreement like you read it b4 it would accept the I accept.
I tried all sorts of things... Pressed F8, scrolled down and pressed F8, pressed F8 for every page but no good. Even read most of the text in case I was missing something. Can only think its a bad disc?
Thanks for suggestions I dont have another PS2 kbd, but this one is good on this mch. Its an OEM disc.
It did turn out to be the kbd. Not faulty but it must be a mapping problem. I remember the old days with US 101 and UK types there were these sorts of issues. Anyway started trying all other keys and then combo's... not sure what I hit but it made an F8 code. Windows loaded and wirless kbd and mouse now installed. Good result, thanks
