Hey, my last install of windows just died for some reason, anyway, i have installed windows again, and got all my apps installed too, the only problem is, i try to access msn and i get this wierd error message, when i was downloading somthing on opera the message kept coming up all the time aswell, and the download would not progress any further withought me pressing ok all the time on this error, its going somthing to do with wininet.dll and it always causing msn messenger to stop responding and exit. Screenshot below: **Edit*** All is well now, it seems i installed the latest version of IEX7 by mistake, i instaled beta 3 and ran the Xmilisetup and its fixed now
off topic but do you really have that many icons on your desktop or did you just pretty it up for the picture, i probably would have.
yes i really do have that many icons on the desktop , i used to have about double that at one point, i got a screenie of it in members desktops.
Most of the stuff on there is used, there is quite a few icons just for GTA SA, mods etc..., the rest are games, security, AOL, msn etc..
But u can make folder for each type of stuff.... like a games folder for games... General folder for all the general softwares.... or do u just wants them on first click?
if you look in members desktops, you will see what my desktop used to look like, practically no icons, they were all into there own folders, just cant be bothered installing workshelf again, and i dont want to stick then in folders, so i leave them on desktop, yea i also prefer it if there there and quickly accessible, on my server i have a desktop icon backup as most of my programs are always installed on another partition, so all i do is when i have re installed windows, just paste all the icons onto the desktop, install drivers, then can play the games, no messing with installations
Personally I like to keep my desktop clean and organised in a toolbarish kind of way. But that's, of course, not ultimately the only way of fast and productive work at the PC - I've seen desktops stack full with icons, but the owner knew his stuff and even had some kinda system in the appearing mess... :stars:
