How do you normally connect to the internet now? If you have a cable/DSL modems with ethernet ports, you can buy a wireless access point which you can connect to the modem and that create a wireless network in your vicinity with internet access. But you have to have a wireless adapter in your laptop, most have integrated ones, but if you don't you can buy a PC card for it as an adapter.

I currently use a speedtouch 330 ADSL, i also hav a belkin adsl modem with wireless g-router thinking i could use this, but having no luck at all. this also came with a wireless usb adapter, although the laptop does have one built in as well
