I don't think thats possible what your doing. The only way you can work with two monitors is if you have a card that has dual monitor support. I'm not sure how you've done it with that card.

Sorry, but you're wrong. If you have either an AGP card and a PCI one, two PCI cards, or ideally two PCI Express cards, you can easily have a dual monitor configuration. Check the BIOS, and be certain that your integrated video was not disabled automatically, if that is one of the cards you are going to use. Make sure you have the latest version of DirectX (Currently 9.0c), as well as the latest video drivers for each card. Get these from each of the card's manufacturer's website, respectively. Once you've done that, give 'er another try, and feel free to post a follow-up either way.

All the best,

P.S. - There are certain OEM systems (I.E. Dell, Compaq) which forbid multiple video cards from operating simultaneously from within the BIOS. If you are one of the unlucky ones to fall into this category, you may have trouble using more than one card at once. Check with the manufacturer and see if there is a sanctioned solution. If not, you may be able to flash your motherboard's BIOS to work around this problem.

as anti-trend has said, in his "P.S" the reason it is most likely not working is due to the fact most motherboards will work with 2 video cards (simultaneously) however, they have to be 2 physical cards, not integrated.

if you have an integrated video card on your motherboard and a seperate physical PCI / AGP card it is highly unlikely that they will work together, unless you use: your integrated video card as primary and your physical as secondary.

that would work, if you want dual monitor support using intergrated and your current physical PCI or AGP card you would have to set your intergrated as primary and your PCI or AGP card as secondary, to do this you usually have to change one or two jumpers around, if so, you will have to find a configuration that will allow primary - intergrated video / secondary - video card, however you now have the problem that your games e.t.c would by default run on the primary video adapter (your intergrated device) which.. i suspect would not be as good as your physical PCI / AGP card.

i run a dual monitor setup, but i connect both flat screens to my X800Pro.
