Folks, Well, I popped for an Xbox 360 about a week ago and just broke it open the other day. Nice machine, but surprisingly loud. I admit I thought it had built in wireless Internet like the PS3, but that's my fault for not looking more closely. My question is this: if I hook this thing up to a modern PC monitor, whether it be flat panel LCD or CRT, how will it look? Will I get a better picture (ie: 720i or 1080i resolution) than I do from my normal TV? I have it hooked into a normal TV right now and it does look good, I just know it can look better. I'm very unfamiliar with the relationships of modern LCD HDTVs to computer monitors, but it does strike me that the former seems to be a larger, tricked out (speakers, remotes and jazz) versions of the same technology behind LCD computer monitors. It's also my understanding that modern PC monitors are capable of displaying HDTV signals. Though whether this is true and how well they interpolate the signal to 720 or 1080 standards I don't know. My suspicion is that, once again, good old CRTs may hold the trump card here with there native scaling abilities. Any thoughts? Tom
Modern pc monitors use resolutions even higher than HDTV, so you should get a better picture on a pc monitor. I would prefer to use my tv. Playing race games on my 27 inch Samsung
