im new to the whole xbox scene as ive only ever got PS's and was wondering how you store games onto the XBox? when you buy a xbox does it come with the kit needed to store multiple games onto HD? if someone could also run me through how the process onf storing a game onto the console thatd clear alot of my confusin up,thanx in advance
You don't store the game on the console, you play it like anyother console game with no installing but it just uses the harddrive as a place to store the save data, like the memory card on the PS2. You obvioulsy won't need 12gigs to store save files so you can load it up with music and video too (it should include a cd to help you do that on the origional, on the 360 it's very straight foward).
You can store games on the hard drive of the xbox, but you will need to buy and install a modchip. a modchip overrides the defualt bios of the xbox, and can add alot of diffrent things such as usb ports, ftp, web browsing and also makes it possible to install linux (as use it as a computer) The xbox is essentialy a low cost computer. note: installing a modchip invalidates the warrenty! (but its worth it for the extra features if you can install one!!!) & ftp means that you would be able to copy ALL of the music from your computer to the xbox (via a network cable).
Wow, I didn't now it was that versitile, leave it to the master hacks to come up with cool stuff like that. Thanks for enlightening me man.
Probably because it's been modded and emulators have been installed on the HD with 100 games. Friend of mine did that to his 360, another friend did that to his Xbox, it can be done.
£25-40 + P&P most will require a soldering iron to install, and the solderless mod chips need to be solderd in if you have a xbox v1.6
