I have (13) desktop computers, in a domain, that I maintain as the administrator at a State University. They are used frequently by users with accounts on our domain. They are in lecture halls and classrooms accessed by professors and other faculty.
I set the Power Scheme to Presentation, Hibernation to Off (Uncheck Enable
Hibernation) and Screen Saver to none. When a regular user logs into the PC
in the settings revert to Power Scheme to Home/Office Desk, Hibernation to
On (Checked Enable Hibernation) and Screen Saver to WinXP in 10 Minutes.
Can I make the settings I want to hold for regular users.

This might sound really stupid but it is more to give you hope than to actualy give you the answer.

It is possible because my firm build our accounts in a simillar way - the user cannot disable the screen saver. So if it is done one way it can be done the other. Only one account is built with preset to completely disable the screen saver - the powerpoint presentation account. But then that account cannot enable it either....

I guess that the way this is acheived is that the local machine draws the account settings from the network when the user loggs on. It then sets-up what this account can do or cannot do. This is only a guess.....

So it is possible! Good luck in your quest.
A bit big brotherish don't you think?
