Icons in the taskbar represent programs running in the background. To remove those, you need to close the associated programs

Go to start/run/type in :msconfig Now under startup uncheck your antispyware software..

MSCONFIG should not be used for permanently disabling start up programs. It's purpose is for diagnostics only, hence why if you disable something, it will alert you everytime you restart your computer.

northman, you will need to download a start up manager to delete the invalid start up entry. You'll be able to find some at Free Software Downloads and Software Reviews - Download.com. Most programs usually delete their associated program files when you uninstall them. It looks as though that anti-spyware application has a nasty uninstall routine. I'd nuke it for good.

If The Program Has Been Uninstalled, then There Is No Reason Why
    You Cannot Remove/disable It.

Exactly. Please read my last post about "MSCONFIG being a diagnostics tool.." and "download a start up manager....".
