do you like ska, represent it? wear black and white boxed clothing? are in a ska band? or listen to ska? or ska inspired music? sublime is ska inspired and they rule :good:
I was in a ska band a long time ago, which was weird for me since I had punk rocker roots. It didn't work out though, since I wanted to play a traditional ska style (Skatalites, OPIV, 1st gen Bob Marley, etc), and pretty much everybody else wanted to play 3rd-wave radio crap style (Reel Big Fish, Save Ferris, Five Iron Frenzy, etc). I hate 3rd wave.
yeah i prefered second wave, but the only third wave i like are the Skatalites, we have our own group here in my town, Wonka Mobile. well whaddya know a skanking punk huh? haha cool
I'm in a metal band, still no name yet but it's kinda cool, we've got 6 members. Vocalist Lead Guitarist Rythm Guitarist Drummer Bassist Custom Percussionist / Back up Singer - Me
nice wwr, im in the same situation haha, only we're "a work in progress" haha literally, yeah we're just rock, and NOT emo
Got a band name: The Peaceful Enemy Current tracks: Alter Ego Necronomicon Ode to an Ex Needs of Man Fetish Song (Not So) Friendly Advice Stogie & Sausages
Ode to an Ex, haha, I say 'Ex' and for a second I though it was refering to me, you shouldn't have. No that would be really conceded of me I realize what it's saying:good:
Hehe, nice one, Ex. Oh, and "White Sheets on the Death Bed" is another we've written. Plus we've done covers of some Tenacious D songs as well as SOAD and Slipknot.
Sounds like a pretty sweet band you've got there WWR, we should host a geek concert or something, it would be so cool.
Yeah that would be cool, a private HWF concert. I tell you, Matt (our guitarist) is the second best guitarist I've ever seen (after Alexi Laiho). He's beaten James Hetfield in person.
awesome man, i can't say anything im only a year into it, but i'm pretty good probably because i obsess, and practice like 4 hours a day, and even more now since i dont have school
Yet you still find time to reply to all my threads, *pins honorary badge to chest*. Seriously, everytime I'm gone for a few hours and then check back on my suscribed threads its like zRoCkIsAdDiCtInG across the board:good:
I wouldn't say beating james hetfield in person is a very honorable thing to do Alexi Laiho is very good, so I'm gonna give the guy some credit and assume he's a master shredder. Got any songs hosted?
yeah id be willing to listen to them too our science eacher though got an oppurtunity to play in springsteen's street band, but he denied, hes been playing 20+ years, and hes amazing, we call him god and ex, wont let you down buddy
