i recently installed vista home premium on my inspiron 6000 laptop and to my dismay the laptop wont sleep. i am having a problem very similar to this one. read the first paragraph. Aspire 5630 with Vista won't Sleep... HELP! - Notebook Forums and Laptop Discussion the computer will sleep if on battery but not on ac all it does is the screen turns black and hard drive access continues and ive tried turning off stuff like network being able to boot it. any help is greatly appreciated and im going to continues to research this. ps ive tried installing the rollup usb update that fixes a lot of those problems to no avail. Ive though already of going back to xp but vista is sooo much better i terms of preloaded programs and elegance (if i can say that about microsoft)
