Free Zonealaram turned into Free trail version :eek:hah:
It was also making my internet access sporadic. Giving me access to the internet intermittenttly  So at last i removed it and come back to the XP firewall

I find the kerio persoanal firewall extremelly good, its free for a month fully, then goes to a limited capability version but it is still as safe, and I never use any of the advanced features any way. Very low software footprint too!

ouch! I think when you install zonealarm there is an option to install the free version or trial version. There was a ZoneAlarm update recently which I still haven't installed.... maybe thats what turned it into a trial. Have tried downloading the latest install file?

SPF was bought out by Symantec in 2k5[ot]that's why it's still 5.6 and hasnt been updated or a new release brought out for a while[/ot]

    Edit:
if you DL the Pro version it does turn into the free version when the trial expires[ot]i think the pro version trial expires after 15 days[/ot]

Another good firewall to consider is Comodo. It's free too!
