Need small gaming desktop for under £750/$1500

I need a desktop that can play games reasonably well for under £750. It needs to be small because I don't have much space and I need to move it from location to location. I was considering a gaming laptop, but I don't have the money for one.

Or if you could recommend a small desktop whose GPU I could upgrade, that would be helpful as well.
 
No! Stay far away from Cyberpower/iBuypower. If your system works, then fine, but their customer service and competence is horrendous.

As for a small gaming box, have you thought about an SFF (Small Formfactor) box and an LCD panel? As in roll your own?

The thing with small form factor is the fans might be abit loud

Looks like a very good case for your needs, if you want to go REALLY small you can install a 7" LCD into it, I would also reccomend putting fans in all the empty slots and get a fan speed controller to quiet it down. I'm not sure what size psu your meant to install though. Although with Micro-ATX you'll have to kiss SLI goodbye. Getting a bigger form factor will probably allow you to get allot more performance.

Get 4 gigs of DDR2 800, and a core 2 duo E6850
And probably get a 8800 GT 512MB, if it fits

Is that the kinda form factor you want, or could it be bigger

Yeah, just using it as an example so he can se the specs

So if something as small as that is ur cup of tea than go for it, if you want more performance a small(ish) ATX rig would be better
 
Might I suggest the 8800gs? Double the preformance of an 8600gt for not much more $$. I purchased one recently and couldn't be happier(upgrading from a 7900gs).
