Many of you who know me will attest that I've got a bit of a history as a Linux advocate. Well, you can rest at ease. I've finally got tired of all this hippy/commie B.S. they call "open source" and decided to get back to my roots as a Windows guy. There's better job security in Windows since it breaks so often, and needs constant attention. With Linux servers, I'd set them up and they wouldn't need me to even look at them for literally years. How am I supposed to feed a family on that? Anyway, since I'm moving back to Windows, I decided it would be best if I moved over my servers as well. Sorry to anyone who has an account or a vhost on my Linux boxes, but I'll be replacing them with 2003 Server, and it's just not practical to run Apache or OpenSSH on that platform. My apologies. You can read the announcement here. All the best, -AT
As some of you might know I'm a fan of Microsoft and i just want to say: God Bless Microsoft for feeding men like you and their families
In case anybody believed me for a moment, it was of course an April Fool's joke. If I ever had to move back to Windows, I think I'd rather give up computers altogether.
Ah you got me there  lol i knew it was a joke, kind of obvious but i thought i would reply to it seen as someone has to support MS because what i said was 100% true, God Bless Microsoft
lol got me too . Don't April Fool Jokes finish at lunch time though? Your post was at half 10 at night!
I'd like to think I'm too idealistic to use an OS simply because it breaks the most often, but whatever. :chk: As for Windows supporting the economy, the exact opposite is true: Parable of the broken window - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia The idea is that if people didn't have to spend money paying for and maintaining Windows, they could spend more money on other things, thus supporting the local economy and not just one huge company.
Damn I should visit these forums more often! A pretty obvious April fools AT! The day you go back to Windows is the day pigs learn to fly! One of my favourite April fools was from Opera: Acid 3: Opera first to 106 - Desktop Team - by Desktop Team
..... wow, i almost lost myself, i thought the world had really come to and end, i was like no way.... Anti-Trend would never move to a Microsoft system again.... i think my heart skipped a beat.
