I received my Mac Pro yesterday. Here are some pics: Specs: 2 Intel Xeon Quadcores (2.8 GHz) 2 GB DDR2-800 RAM Geforce 8800GT 512MB graphics card 2x 500 GB SATA harddrives DVD writer Dual-booting OS X 10.5 with XP
Hmmm as nice as it looks, I really really don't like Macs. They're overpriced for what they are, and people complain about Microsoft's unfair play, but Mac OS will only run on "Apple" hardware (which is just a chip on the motherboard). I've had OS X running on my Acer laptop (it had some sort of patch on), and I really couldn't see what all the fuss was about. It didn't seem much better than XP, and certainly wasn't a patch on Mandriva which I now use.
Actually, Mac OS and other UNIX based operating systems are far more stable than Windows, and because they all use a superiour file system (like HFS, EXT2/3), they prevent fragmentation. So therefore you don't need to reinstall a unix-based OS as often as windows. When I started using Mac OS, I felt like Winddows XP and Vista where more like Win98. And then these features like exposé and spaces really make me feel like Windows is underpowered because it doesn't have these features.
