Hi there, quite new around here! I just recently decided to get a new rig because my laptop no longer plays games =(
    Here are the specs:
    CoolerMaster HAF 922 Case
    CoolerMaster GX Power 650Watt PSU
    ASUS P6X58D-Premium X58 LGA 1366 DDR3 Motherboard
    Intel Core i7-950 3.06Ghz CPU
    PQI 6GB Kit DDR3 1333 RAM
    Hitachi 3.5" 1TB SATA HDD
    ASUS 1GB RadeonHD 5850
    LG SATA DVD RW
    TP-Link TL-WN951N 300M Wireless-N Network card
    Logitech G110 Gaming Keyboard
    Cyborg R.A.T 7 Gaming Mouse

Excluding the mouse, the total cost was around $1300 AUD. I'm not sure if I should get a CPU cooler. I was advised to just use the stock one as it is a new system and should be fine if I don't OC.

Whatcha guys think? Thanks for any advice

I would say that it's a quite cool machine. A HD5870 would be more appropriate, though.

Yea I know, but it cost quite a bit more......my budget is $1500......and I'm dishing out $200 on an Acer G245 Hbmid Black 24" 5ms HDMI Widescreen LCD...... =( The cheapest 5870 available around here cost almost $400....... almost double the cost of 5850......so i hope it'll do for now =(
