    Water Cooling

I have never used water cooling but I have heard that Danger Den is the best. they have a kit you can configure to your needs so you get what you want but it comes form the same place on the same bill. Here it is. I would recommend the TDX CPU block, MAZE4 SLI GPU block, the proper MAZE4 chipset...

    Photo realism anyone?

Hmm, I would assume that it is at full settings but I couldn't say. Maybe I'll download the demo and see for myself.

    Photo realism anyone?

I think I have finally seen a game with near photo realism, MS Flight Simulator X. Check out this screenshot: http://i.i.com.com/cnet.g2/images/2006/074/931252_20060316_screen008.jpg. Here is a link to the official website: Flight Simulator X. This one might be worth the money just for the...

    Safe OC temps

50* heavy load. I'm sure there are datasheets but common sense would probably yield similar results.

    Budget Gamer

Ok, more than 480-500 Watts, Antec, Tagan, Fortron, FSP, Hiper, Sparkle. Dual 12 V rails.

I would go with the latter.

    X1900 XTX power supply question

I have never heard of a BFG PSU so I couldn't give you advice on that.

    My New Computer

The amount of RAM will become more important when games start to use that much, but at this point it is more bandwidth based. But I tend to agree with Ex, wait for a DX10, then get 512 MB on that.

Dual Core - A few questions.

Yea, but don't ask me which one because I know exactly nothing about server processors, except maybe that Itanium decimates all.

    Safe OC temps

the highest I have seen mine is 50*C. I have a 3500+ I would try to stay below 50*.

New Setup - Comment on my Box

Yea, components are always expensive overseas. Ironic considering that you live closer to where they are manufactured.

My New Rig - any comments appreciated!

There is no such thing as a "steal" when it costs $350 and is 2 GB. I've never worked with Conroe so I can't really suggest anything about the motherboard or processor but I would tend to agree about the video card.

Dual Core - A few questions.

It says that it isn't multi threaded, it uses multiple processes. This would still take advantage of a multi-core processor. I still think a multi-core server/workstation processor would do really well here.

New Setup - Comment on my Box

He said he doesn't want to spend $500 on a video card. I'm pretty sure it sells for well over $500. Yea, the lowest on newegg is $500 but it is sold out. Then it's $519.

    My New Computer

I would get a barebones kit. You can get the processor, motherboard, and case for about $400 I would say.

I just got UltraMon and all I can say is wow. This is great. Why didn't I get this a year ago?

    Joining two TFT's

Yea, many video cards support 2 monitors. If yours doesn't it may have trouble running that big of a monitor at any respectable resolution.

    PSu Failing... Causing crashes

The 12 V rail is basically the 12 V power source. If it has 2 12 V rails then it has 2 separate 12 V power sources which lowers temperature and stress on the PSU. The more 12 V rails the better. I think the highest I have seen is 3. 2 is common now.

PC case fan to run on batteries?

No, transforemers aren't expensive at all. Those are the little (or big, depending on how you see it) black boxes that are on the power wires for speakers and such. You can buy ones with molex connectors already on them or I can tell you how to do it. Safety First If you were to get that, cut...
