all dvd drives that are ATX will fit..that's unless your PC isn't atx which all Vaio's (3) i've worked on are ATX

I don't see why not. Just unscrew the old drive, unplug and remove. Put in dvd drive, plug in and screw it in.

I think it was all rushed and chipsets weren't really planning on it, s754 is kind of a budget socket anyway.
