    Oh yea! 160 is more than enough, I once had a Quad Boot...I would give XP about 60-80 gigs,and the rest to linux..

    You do not use thermal grease on Ram.. I would try a fan to cool the ram if it is that hot.. Your Ram should not be that hot..

    Sounds like a Virus/Trojan has taken over.. Remove AVG and install Avast free... AVG is Bloatware now and Takes way too long to scan.. Install...
