I will agree,open the case a look inside for anything loose or undone. just might be a hard drive going bad..

For what you pay for that pc, you could get a good used dell.
Windows XP drivers will work with a little tweaking. You have to download the drivers for XP, then Use a Zip program to unzip them to a folder....
When dual booting XP and windows seven, you must install XP First, then windows 7.. You will be using windows 7 boot loader.
Maybe your setup disk is no good. What is the error ?
Have you tried SAFE MODE
If windows xp was installed First, Then Windows 7 should of installed its own boot loader. At least it did for me.
The one in my picture is a Dell, but I had to do some modding to get it to work right. you just have to use all Dell parts.

I would say shut down, Sometimes in standby the computer will not come out of it.
could be a power supply going bad, Is this PC overclocked ? Check your ram, or try removing and reinstalling to reseat them.
if you can install a case fan.Also take out the memory chips and reseat them. It also could be the processor/ or fan going bad.
It seems to be the inside video,That you are having problems with..It is probably the cable or card itself. The adapter is built on the motherboard..
Do you have any fans in the case ? check the power supply.
I would say that would be the LCD screen,But since you have replaced it, then it will be a bad video adapter..
sounds like you need a good cleaning ..Do you have any cleaning software ? have you ran antivirus to see if any virues are there?
